On the margin between two vegetation types. Vrolijkheid has low Karoo bushes and succulents, with taller bushes I the gorges, as well as fynbos elements in the higher regions. Springbok have been introduced and klipspringer, grey rhebok, Cape grysbok, steenbok and common duiker occur naturally. More than 180 bird species recorded. Location: Little Karoo; south of Robertson. Access: From Robertson take the tarred road in the direction of McGregor for about 15 km. Telephonic permit bookings are preferred. Accommodation: None.
